SOFTBALL BC ACTIVITIES IN LIGHT OF COVID – 19
Dear Softball BC Members
The pandemic all Canadians are dealing with continues to be a fluid situation, with changes and updates coming hourly.
Softball Canada has just announced they are suspending all related activities until April 14th
With the new guidelines in place, both from our national sport body and those introduced by the federal government,
we are suspending, immediately, all softball relate activities until May 1st, 2020.
Our board is committed to ensuring we provide thoughtful and appropriate actions to protect our members, and we had stated previously that we would follow the directives and guidelines of health authorities and sport governing bodies. In order to remain consistent to that commitment, we are today taking this next step to do our part in helping reduce the possible spread of the virus. We will continue to monitor all agencies and governing bodies, should the guidelines
change prior to May 1st, we will reassess our position.
Should you have any questions, or require more information, please direct your inquiry to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
or 604 371- 0302 ext. 6.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation throughout this crisis.

RE: 2020 Tournament Updates
To Whom It May Concern:
With restrictions to softball activities suspended until at least June 1st, 2020 we are needing to postpone many of our upcoming tournaments until the restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are lifted and it is safe to proceed with activities.
We all await guidance from Softball BC and our Provincial Health Minister for information on the 2020 season. With the need to postpone U12C/U14C, U12B/U14B and the U19C Tournaments, we will be rescheduling these for later dates, and the teams that have already registered have the option to wait for the new dates to be announced and if the new dates don’t work you will be refunded. Or you may request a refund now if you wish. The U16B Tournament scheduled for June 5th – 7th, 2020 is still expected to proceed.
We look forward to having your teams enjoy our beautiful valley soon!

2020 Softball Season Update
Our association takes direction from Softball BC, Softball Canada and the Provincial Health minister. Softball BC has extended the suspension of softball activities until June 1st 2020. At this point the season is still only postponed, and will review our refund/credit policies for all of our members once it is decided if the season will resume or is cancelled. We hope to have a full season, and will update with more information as it becomes available.
Recommendations of staying home, no gatherings outside of who lives in your home and keeping your physical distance is what we are asking softball families to follow! Let's work as a team to stop this threat together!
We would like to send our best wishes and thoughts out to our softball family, and hoping you stay safe and healthy!
